PROSVASI (the Greek word for access) is the accessibility center for students with disabilities and/or special educational needs of the University of Thessaly (UTH). The goal of PROSVASI is to enhance the learning and social accessibility of students with disabilities and/or special educational needs at UTH as well as their access to UTH facilities.

PROSVASI provides multidimensional services aimed at students with disabilities and/or special educational needs, volunteers, and academic and administrative staff of all departments of UTH in the cities of Volos, Larissa, Trikala, Karditsa, and Lamia. Furthermore, PROSVASI collaborates with various agencies and participates in various actions regarding accessibility issues.

PROSVASI’s services are designed and provided by a group of people made up of the scientific coordinator, the staff and scientific collaborators of PROSVASI, and the volunteer students of UTH. In addition, in each Department, there is a faculty member who acts as a link with PROSVASI (Academic Counselor) and a responsible member in the administration office. Finally, the Committee for Equal Access of People with Disabilities and People with Special Educational Needs consists of 9 members of the University of Thessaly.

Students can register for PROSVASI online through its website (prosvasi.uth.gr). Additionally, academic and administrative staff can contact PROSVASI to request information or support regarding students with disabilities and/or special educational needs.
