The University of Thessaly, in collaboration with PROSVASI, the accessibility center for students with disabilities and/or special educational needs, recently acquired a bus that is accessible for students with mobility disabilities of the University of Thessaly, in order to serve their needs.

On February 18th, 2022, PROSVASI organized an event at the School of Agriculture of the University of Thessaly in Volos, which aimed to inform and prepare those involved regarding the use of the accessible bus.

As part of this event, Mr. Giannopoulos Panagiotis, representative of the company P. Giannopoulos and Co., which made the necessary adjustments to the bus, explained in detail all the technical details for the safe use of the bus by people with mobility disabilities.

The bus was tested by Mrs. Tsirogianni Eleni from the Association of People with Mobility Disabilities of N. Magnesia “IPPOKAMBOS”, as well as by Mrs. Iosifidou Elisavet, a student with a mobility disability from the Department of Special Education of the University.

The event was attended by the Vice-Rector of Economics, Programming and Development, Professor Billinis Charalampos, the head of the department responsible for the bus, and representatives from PROSVASI and the company that made the necessary adjustments.
